Removing old programs

Hi there, hope someone can help me removing old programs on my add/remove
program list. I think when bored i've removed certain files relating to these
programs. So can not remove from list. Very annoying. Please help and very
bored and stupid person.

Normal recommendation is to re-install and then properly uninstall to
remove the bits and pieces

Are the programs uninstalled? If not then reinstall and then uninstall
properly. If the programs have been uninstalled then click on the entry
in Add/Remove, click on the change/remove button. It should give a
message that it can't remove the program and offer to remove the entry
for you.
