Just upgraded to XP home from 98 SE. I have two hard
drives. There was not sufficent space on the c drive
(where 98 SE resides) to install XP. XP was installed on
the d Drive and it currently boots up in dual format.
Once I have my software configured (reinstalled) to work
with XP are there any issues in removing 98 SE

When you installed XP on your "D" drive it changed the boot sector of "C"
You cannot just format "C" to get rid of 98...you'd lose the ability to enter XP
What you need to do is edit the "boot.ini" file in the root of "C" with notepad
and remove any reference to 98 and then delete the 98 directory manually...as
well as any 98 settings all on the "C" drive
