Removing old network folders?

When I view my home LAN with Windows Explorer I see many old network folders
that I had created in the past but have removed. Yet the folders still
appear (when I access the folder I get an error message as I would expect).
If I delete them, they reappear when the next the network reinitiallizes.

Is there a way to permanently delete these old network folders?

thanks for any tips

Make sure the network folders have been removed from C:\Documents and
Settings\(your user name)\NetHood
If you are talking about network drives, simply right click "My Computer"
and click Disconnect. Choose the network drive you wish to disconnect, it
should not be re-added after login.

Hope this information helps, have a nice day.
