Removing network adapters

Guest

My Machine seems to have a virus thats giving me trouble.In my Devise Manager
there are 6 network adapters installed which should not to be there.They are;
Direct Parallel , MS Tun Miniport adapter, and (4) Wan Miniport adapters
(IP) (L2TP) (PPPOE) (PPTP)
The problem is when I try to remove them from the devise manage there is a
message that says they are part of the boot process: and they do not remove.
I cannot even connect to my ISP (using a modem) even when I reinstall the
modem and make a new network connection.
I did not install these adapters/ drivers and I dont know how to remove them.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Depending on who your ISP is, they may be needed to connect.
I know AOL uses the wan miniport adapters...
unless your machine is dialing out on it's own or otherwise acting
strangely, I'd leave it alone.

These are hidden devices and are part of your OS. No need to remove.
Untick "show hidden devices" under view in device manager and ignore them.
