I have removed several applications using "Add or Remove Programs." The
applications were successfully removed, but they're still shown in the
Start/All Program list. What is the safest way to remove their reference in
the list? Also, if I remove their entry in the list, does it just remove a
shortcut or will it also remove the physical folder the entry is referring
to? I noticed that some of the applications that are still listed may or
may not have a physical folder in the C:\Program\ folder. Thank you.

RightClick on a program and move down to delete. They are just shortcuts.
It has no affect on the actual programs.

Those are just shortcuts. Delete them.
