Hi, what is the BEST way to remove duplicate cells (phone numbers, email
addresses, etc.) from a long list in Excel?

The duplicates usually would be in 1 column (Column "A: for example)

Hello

An easy way is to just press control F then click the replace tab enter
what you want removing in the "find what field", leave the "replace
with" field blank & then click replace all.

This will remove all of what was selected, however it will leave gaps
in you list this can either be sorted or you could write some Vb to
remove the gaps.

Hope this helps

Try using advanced filter. Date, filter, advanced filter, select unique
records and copy to another range.

Select the column. Then Data > Filter > Advanced Filter > check unique
records only. If you later want to restore the duplicates, you can. If you
want to permanently delete the duplicates, copy the column elsewhere.
