I just installed Office 2007 and ended up with duplicate emails in Outlook's
sent and delete folders. How do I eliminate the duplicates?

Why even respond at all, the answer you gave is "Jerkish".. Ok , he obviously
doesnt want to and he should not have to take the time to delete 800
duplicate emails. Outlook SHOULD provide a program to do it automatically for
people and perhaps it would be more popular. MSFT is Penny wise and Dollar
foolish sadly. It is this type of reason that MSFT has such a hard time in
the world with sympathy not to mention the stock price hasnt gone anywhere
for years. I love Microsoft its just really sad that somewhere in management
they just dont have the energy they once had to be creative hence the company
is a 10million pound slug which sadly doesnt perform. But enough of my rant.
I wish Microsoft success.. I hope they see the errors of their ways.

Brian, wouldn't it have been more polite simply to say "such function is not
available?" I am not, after all, an MS Outlook MVP such as yourself.
PS Any chance courtesies such as you extended me have kept the stock price
where it is?

I bought the program I presume that you own and sell. One thing I didn't note
before I bought it was that it didnt check for duplicate content, so thats a
feature many people might want you to add if you can. I know it takes a lot
longer but it would be worth it to a lot of us. In the meantime since it
doesnt do that I am going to consider taking you up on your 30 day guarantee
for money back. Also the price listed is in Pounds but it wasn't apparent off
hand, so to a yank you might get a little shock. hehe ON the other hand It is
a decent program for that it does do so I might keep it. Please do a content
check and then you really will have a great product !

thanks

I don't know what you consider "polite", but my answer to you certainly fits
my definition of that word. I didn't call you names, I didn't use
pejorative terms. You provided no scope for the problem. If there were,
say, one-half dozen duplicates, my answer suggests the most efficient way to
handle it. If there were, say, 50 duplicates, my answer suggests a
reasonably efficient and completely free solution which would satisfy most
people, in my opinion, since most people find that 20 minutes of their time
is worth less than shelling out money to buy a program. Had you said at the
outset "I have 800 duplicate messages to delete", my answer would have been
completely different. It's certainly not my doing that you were vague in
the extreme when posting the orignal message. With no information other
than "How do I eliminate the duplicates?" what did you expect?
PS Any chance courtesies such as you extended me have kept the stock
price where it is?

I have no doubt that my opinions have any effect whatsoever on Microsoft
stock prices, especially considering that I don't have any connection to
Microsoft.
