Removing Control Panel Icons

I have recently upgraded my Java plug-in from 1.4.0.2 to 1.5.006 after
having uninstalled the former.Now I have two Java Plug-in icons in my
Control Panel,one for each.Can anyone suggest how to remove the unwanted
one?
