I recently upgraded to AOL 9, which installed the AOL Companion as a
background process. I don't want AOL Companion running, but I don't
know how to disable it in Windows XP. Please help.

Richard;
Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel
Look for it there.
Otherwise check with AOL at their website for uninstall information.
Also a Google search may help.

Please feel free to contact AOL for instructions on how to disable their
Companion.
