Hi,
I have got 2 computers set up as a home network using the Windows XP Add
network place wizard. The 2 computers are connected via a router. One of the
computers is running Windows XP Pro and the other is running Windows XP Home
SP1. I would like to know how I can remove this network set up between the 2
computers. Would I have to uninstall "Client for Microsoft Networks" and
"File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" under the General tab of
the "Local Area Connection Properties" on both computers? Or is there
something else that I have to do?
Would really appreciate some help.
Thanks,
Rahul

Rahul,

If you are trying to maintain connectivity with the internet (so just unplugging
the LAN cables is not a solution), then un installing CMN and FPSMN should do
the trick.

Maybe if you tell us what you're going to use the computers for in the future,
and why you want to remove the network, we can advise you more effectively.
Windows XP is made for networking, if you don't want them networked then fine,
but you're wasting a valuable resource.
