Removing a corrupt version of XP

My laptop has 2 versions of XP. One is corrupt, how do I
remove this from the choices on the boot up.

Hi Will,

Make a backup copy of boot.ini in C:\. After you get a backup, take the
read only attribute from boot.ini in the root of C: You can then edit the
file and remove the line under [Operating Systems] that reference the
corrupt installation.
