removed xp program from add/remove programs by mistake how do i retrieve it

Put the cd in that the program came on and reinstall it. If you don't have
the program cd or the install program saved somewhere on your hard drive,
then you're out of luck.
 
Try "System Restore " to the day you deleted the program.
This should restore your system to when it was working
with that program.

Not necessarily. System Restore was not designed to be a way to
overcome stupid mistakes or things done by somebody being brave but
not really knowing what they are doing.

System Restore "may" work here, but frankly I doubt it.
