Removed disk now I get Access Denied message

Tried everything, but machine won't boot with infected disk drive so I
took out drive and installed in second computer. All folders are
accessible except primary folder which gives 'Access Denied" message.
Have logon password, is it possible to access this folder on this host
machine or I am out of luck?

OS- Windows XP home on both machines
Machine 1: Dell with infected disk drive
Machine 2: HP with installed infected disk drive as secondary drive

Thanks in advance

Thanks. Will try when I get home and let you know the results.
Appears from the instructions in the link you provided that being in
Safe Mode gives me access to the Security tab that didn't show up
before when I was in normal operating mode. Is that your
interpretation?

That's correct. If you're running XP Home, or have Simple File Sharing turned on in Pro, you'll only see the Security tab in Safe Mode.
