Remove one Auto Saved email address

R

Ryan.

Dear All,

Some of my colleagues have changed email addresses so I have changed
their email address in my address book but their address are still
saved in the Auto complete function thing. I would like to delete them
so that they have the new email address but I cannot. I've tried
deleting the names in the pull down menu but when I get to one email
address in the list there is no pull down menu and it just completes it
for me so I cannot delete it. I've tried adding junk emails to my
address book to have extra names in the list but when it get down to
one name the same thing happens-I cannot delete the last email in the
autosave list. Is there a way to do it or is there a list of all the
auto saved addresses for me to modify somewhere? I am using MS Outlook
2002.

Ryan.

If they show up in a drop-down list, you should be able to use the up/down
arrow on your keyboard to select them and then hit the Delete key to remove
them. To remove all you can delete the profilename.nk2 file:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=287623

Otherwise the email addresses are resolving from one of your Address Books.
If you have verified the name is not in the Contacts (or any Contacts
folder), you could try remove the Outlook Address Book, restarting Outlook,
and then readding the OAB via Tools->Email Accounts->View or change existing
directories or address books.

I was curious about how to remove these as well.

Your suggestion worked like a charm. Thanks Nick!
