remove Norton anti-virus software program

To install anti-virus I need to remove previous the old
corporate version of Norton anti-virus software. The old
program was corrupted and attempts to remove it with
Add/remove control panel tool give me a error code 25002.
I tried to delete files manually, but XP still says that
this program is there, but it won't remove it.

Is there another way to remove this program from the list
of programs ?
