Remove Mouse Pointer

I am using Windows 2000 on a touchscreen kiosk
application tha uses Windows Media Player 6 and a TV
Tuner card. I have removed the mouse pointer in both the
mouse settings and the touchscreen settings yet the mouse
pointer is still visible during Media Player, Internet
Explorer and the TV tuner sessions. It has been removed
from the desktop. How can I remove the pointer from
completely?

I wish it were that easy. The touch screen emulates the
mouse so I get mouse pointers.
