remove flashing box and distorted letters from my document.

I wa\s working in Word and I believe the problem happened when I was trying
to insert a heading. Now, I can't get any document to type except with a
flashing box and flashing colored letters. Even the cursor flashes. What do
I need to do?

Help!!

Go to Format | Font. On the Text Effects tab, choose "(none)." Then click
the Default... button in the bottom left corner and answer yes to the
ensuing dialog.
