remove duplicates problem

I have a problem with the remove duplicates function in Excel 2007. I took a
list of numbers and used remove duplicates on it, it said there were 147
unique values. After then sorting the list from Largest to Smallest i
noticed that the number 199, appears twice in the column. I ran a check on
the two cells by using the expression Cell1=Cell2 in an adjacent cell and it
returned a value of True. I have retried the remove duplicates function on
the column of data and it still keeps the two 199 valued cells.

Also note that neither of the two cells with the 199 value are the top of
the list so I don't think it is a header issue.

Has anyone else experienced this before?

Do you have data in other columns?

'Remove Duplicates' removes duplicate from the selected columns if the
entire row is same...

Select the range you want to work on... Choose "Remove Duplicates' then
clear the checkboxes against all columns except the column you want to use
for checking duplicates.

If it still does not work then copy one 199 over the other cell and test...
