Remove carrot in start menu/programs

I do not want a carrot to show up when I use start/program. I wish to always
have the full expansion of the list.
How can I make this happen.

A banana? Ooh, I'm jealous. Personally, I've always wanted a caret but been
unable to get anything other than a cat (although I know many ways to skin
it...).

Right-click an empty part of the Taskbar, left-click Properties. Choose
"Start Menu" tab, click Customize button, unselect "Use Personalized Menus",
OK your way back out. Does that do it?
