We have an Access 2000 batabase that I set up with security. The database is
on our network and I can no longer open the database since the company
upgraded my OS from 98 to XP. When I try to open it I get a window saying I
do not have permissins. HELP!! How can I remove the security or get my
permission back?

The OS upgrade shouldn't have had any effect. Do you still have the MDW file
that was created when you applied security to the database? If so, check
section 34 of the Access Security FAQ at
http://support.microsoft.com/support/access/content/secfaq.asp

If not, you're in a bit of trouble... There are 3rd party firms that will
remove security for a price, but unfortunately I don't have a list of them.
You should be able to find them through Google though.

I'd do it for free if the person can prove they own the db:)

It usually takes a button click to remove the security and then it's
simply a matter of importing all the objects into a new db (since the
old one is now likely to be very unstable now). Basically what you do it
give the Admin user all permissions again by hacking the file.
