I remember a utility that would remove orphaned listing in the ADD/Remove
programs control panel option.
Like when you goof and delete a directory of a unused program instead of
using the proper Uninstall option.
(Not that I would do that of course) duh

As always, please and thank you.

Do a search on Google for UnClean! I believe I downloaded it from PC Mag
utilities.

Use a run of regedit.exe

Each item in Add/Remove has a subkey of
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Find the one concerned and delete it. An Edit - Find, (starting with
Uninstall highlighted), in data only, for part of the name will
indicate it
