Remove a Domain Controller from AD

Whitey

Dear Support, we have two DC's (Win 2003)on out live
network, we are testing a DR restore of our main DC that
has all the FSMO roles, PDC, RID, Schema etc. We have
managed to restore the main DC via the system state on
our test network server. However the second DC remains
everywhere in AD. Obvioulsy this DC is not built and we
just want to remove this from AD. What do we have to do
to get rid of it so we just have one DC doing it all? Do
we run a Meta Data cleanup?

Once we have don this maybe then we would build a second
Win2003 server and dcpromo it and make it a GC.

Anyway I hope you can help

Yes, you need to do the metadata cleanup from kb 216498 to remove the
non-existent DC.
