my dell computer running windows xp home edition has a
spurious program resident in the windows directory called
SYSsfitb.exe which I believe is the cause of constant
delivery to my computer of Adware advertisements. I can't
delete this program! When I try to, I get an error
message stating the program is in use! How can I rid my
computer of this program?

This is what i usually do:

1. Run adaware
2. Open the window containing the SYSsfitb.exe and then
open the task manager. Quickly quit the SYSsfitb.exe and
then as soon as that is done delete the SYSsfitb.exe.
Best of luck :P
