Hi Brian,

Did you recently use a tweak program to hide the drive letters from Explorer perhaps?

To confirm, type the following command in Start, Run:

CMD.EXE
(Press ENTER)

Type the following command in the console window:

reg query "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer" /v "NoDrives"

Copy/Paste the output in your reply.

It can be a per-system Policy also. So try this as well:

reg query "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer" /v "NoDrives"

same result!!

Okie. It appears that the NoDrives Policy is not set.

Yes. You type the command in the Command Prompt window, just as you did for the earlier command.

See if the drive letters are listed when you open the Disk Management MMC (type diskmgmt.msc in Start, Run dialog)

Brian,

Do you have only one hard drive partition (C:\)? If so, the other two may be the removable drives, probably without any drive letter assignment. Flash drives show up as "Removable", followed by the disk size. May be you want to assign a drive letter for those removable drives to fix the problem.
