Remote Wonder Simple Question?

I am considering purchasing a Remote Wonder 1. Does anyone know how it
would function in the following situation:

I use NeroShow to play a DVD.

My ATI 9800SE drivers are set to output only the video overlay to my TV
(Overlay - Clone - Theater Mode) via SVIDEO out.

Is it possible to STOP/FF/REW/PAUSE the DVD when you can't see the desktop
as all that is output to the TV is the overlayed video?

then get the remote wonder powerdvd plugin
