Remote Procedure Call

andy waite

I have a new laptop for work with XP Professional and XP
Outlook. However, I have continuous problems with outlook
just closing down for no reason. Other times it will
remain open but as soon as I click on send the error
message 'Remote Procedure Call failed' and then outlook
closes. Somebody else within our company has now upgraded
to XP and also suffers exactly the same problem. It has
completely stumbled our IT manager and a third party IT
specialist. Could you shed any light? PLEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!

Once the problem has occurred Outlook will continue to
fail. The only fix is to create a new profile with the
same settings, this will then work for a few hours and
then the problem returns.

I'm at the end of my patience so if you can be of any
help please let me know.

Do you guys use a virusscanner at all?
Scan for the Blaster worm first

I have run a virus check for blaster worm as was told
this could be the cause but found nothing. Also got all
updates from Microsoft but still problem persists.

Using Exchange server.

I have XP Office Standard

Before change I was using Windows 2000 and Office 2000. I
have also tried reverting to Office 2000 and I have
problems with this also. Now reinstalled XP Office.
