Remote Procedure Call?????

The Phantom of the Bosque

When I try to install an app that I downloaded from the net, the install
wizard stops in midstream and tell me that it cannot do a remote procedure
call. I have not had this problem before and would like to know the cause.

I am using XP Home.

Hi.

Try Start/Run and type in services.msc hit OK.

Scroll to Remote Procedure Call and make sure it is enabled. (If "Start" is
showing it is disabled).
