Remote Procedure call failed

Before I had to wipe Vista out and start all over again, I had Print Shop
15 installed on it, and working well. The second time around, I am not able
to install it. The installation runs up to 2% and stops. Eventually I have
to use task manager to end the setup. When I do that I get a popup window
(http://mewnlite.com/rpc.gif) that says the remote procedure call failed.
In services, rpc is shown as started. I tried the CD on another computer
(with XP) and had no problem. I would suspect non-Vista compatibility if I
hadn't already had it installed before.
Any ideas?

In experimenting I created a second user. I went into that account and
installed Print Shop without a hitch.
Then I went back in my original account and I can run it just fine from
there.
WTF?
If I hadn't thrown $159 away on it, Vista would be long gone off this
computer!
