Remote Login

Can anyone help me to do a remote login to another computer. I will be
using W2K with all the latest updates. I want to be able to log in to
another computer, on my network, that is running Windows XP. On the XP
machine, I have set it up so that the Administrator (me) can log into it
remotely. I just don't know how to do the Windows 2000 side of equation.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean you want to Remote Desktop from Windows 2000 to Windows XP? To
do that you'll need to install the Remote Desktop client onto the Windows
2000 PC:

Windows 2000 has no Remote Desktop software to allow it to be a host, so if
you want to access that PC remotely you'll need a third party tool

Only reply by newsgroup. If I see an email I didn't ask for, it will be

Yes that is exactly what I want to do but I thought a third party tool was
not required.
I will check out the link. Thanks for your help.

To log into an XP machine from a 2000 machine, you do not need a third
party tool, it's a Windows component from Microsoft.
