I've windows vista business.

It's setted up to accept remote desktop connections..

I can succesfully login using a remote connection to a certain user...
but as soon as a local user try to do something (logging in with his
own user account) he get a message saying that another user is
connected remotly... and vista present him a window where he can press
ok or cancel:

ok disconnect the other user (!!!!!!)
cancel will just send a message to the remote user

How can I get around this and have the remote user working and be able
to use also a local user in the meatime without having to disconnect
the remote one?

Use a REAL multi-user operating system like Linux.

Cheers.

You can't. Desktop Windows versions (non server versions) only allow 1
active connection at a time.

On a desktop computer? How much will that cost?

Who cares? If you need it, you need it!

Linux is not an answer for someone needing multi-user Windows, is it?
Actually, Linux is an answer only for very few desktop uses at all, as
proven by the numbers.

Bobby, hate to break it to you, but there ain't no numbers when it comes to
Linux desktop use. No way to accumulate such numbers.

Cheers.
