just trying to log onto my server from my house and getting the message "The
terminal server has exceeded the maximum number of allocateed connections, I
know that on the server nobody else is connected as i have just left it and
it is the only machine turned on, is it something on the home pc that needs
enabling.

No, it isn't anything to do with your client. Sounds like there may be
'hung' TS sessions on the server....you'd need to go to TS Manager to
disconnect/log them off.

Most likely sessions are still running even though users have disconnected.
You control this behavior through Administrative Tools/Terminal Services
Configuration on the server and/or user properties - Sessions tab in AD
Users and Computers.
