Remote Desktop Error on Vista (Disconnected)

Hi,

Whenever I try to use Remote Desktop the following error message comes up:

Title: VBScript: Remote Desktop Disconnected
Message: the remote computer disconnected the session because of an error in
the licensing protocol. Please try connecting to the remote computer again or
contact your server administrator.

I have two machines both running Vista Business. One of them (my desktop
machine) connects fine, but my laptop just gets the message above. It used to
work fine when I had XP installed, but not now that I have Vista.

I can ping the location fine from my laptop, just not remote desktop.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Grant.

Hi,

Just to add to my post:

I downloaded Cisco VPN Client Version 4.8.01.0590 and tried to connect
through that (saw another post that suggested using VPN instead of Remote
Desktop) but still have problems.

I'm sure my connection setting are correct as have used them before and
tripple checked to make sure they are the same.

The error message that I get is:
Secure VPN Connection terminated by Peer. Reason 435: Firewall Policy
Mismatch. Connection terminated on: Feb 18, 2007 21:41:01 Duration: 0 day(s),
00:00:00

In my Notifications window I get the error Message: The client did not match
the firewall policy configured on the central site VPN device. Cisco Systems
Integrated Client Firewall should be enabled or installed on your computer.

It seems to authenticate me, but then displays the error messages above.

I have tried turning off the Firewall and trying but still no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Grant.
