Is there a way to establish a Remote Desktop Connection
(RDC) between two PC's, one running on WIN.XP and the
other on WIN.98SE (in a LAN environment). Thus far,
several attempts failed. Any advice will be welcome.

Search Google there are many remote desktop solutions.
VNC, RealVNC, TightVNC, PCAnyWhere, ...
