Hello there,
I have noticed that when I launched RDP it creates a Default.rdp
on
user folder, this is a hidden file.
My question is how do I change where it creates the default.rdp
file,
I tried changing the "Start In" path , but this does not work. I have search
the reg file as well but to nothing.
Is it also possible for the default.rdp not to be created at all?

Thank you in advance

I'm not sure what you want to do? You can use "Save As" and create custom
..RDP files anywhere you want to. For example I create custom files and put
them in a special "\My Documents\Remote Desktop Sessions" folder that I
created. I then create desktop shortcuts to those files so I can simply
click on the shortcut to start the connection.

I forgot to add you need to click on "Options" in order to get to the "Save
As" function. This is written for the new RDP 6.0 client but its basically
the same as the older client...

Hi Al,
Basically what I want to do , is to either get rid of the
Default.rdp that is automaticaly created by RDP, or target the creation
folder some where else
does this make sense, just ask again if it does not.

thanks for the reply

Well, you could always delete the file. Beyond that I don't know if you can
change the location the file gets created in other than to use the "Save As"
function and manually save off the file to some other location. It may be
hard coded and simply can not be changed.
