Remote Desktop and Netmeeting connect

I hope this is the proper group.

I can use Remote Desktop using the NetMeeting client to
connect to a server with no problems at all. However, IK
downloaded Remote Desktop for Win200 client and I can not
connect to the same server.

How is it I can remote desktop to a server using
Netmeeting but not Remote Desktop?

To make a correction: I can connect to a server by making
a "CALL" in Netmeeting, however, can not connect to the
same server using Remote Desktop client for Win2000. Any
ideas?

Remote Desktop uses the RDP stream and can only be used to
connect to port 3389 on a server running the terminal
services service.

The "Remote Desktop" of NetMeeting is totally different,
and it only requires you to connect to another computer
running NetMeeting.

The names are very similar, but they are very different
protocols and programs.
