Hi all,

I'm learning about networking xp home and pro. I've got my computers talking
to each other, but have 1 problem left.

XP Pro does not seem to be able to make a remote desktop connection to XP
Home. although home can make a remote desktop connection to the pro machine.

That's correct. XP Home can only act as a Remote Desktop client and not as a
host. Look at using UltraVNC as an alternative. Get the server, client, XP
video driver for the server and encryption plug-in from...

http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/

TightVNC (for free) is very good.

Remush,

As other have said - get UltraVNC (it's free) at www.ultravnc.com
I use this on all my family's computers having WinXP Pro, Home and Win98SE -
it works on all whether they're on dial-up or broadband service. I have it
installed on clients networks and it saves me a lot of travel as long as I
can connect to the PC, I can usually fix 99% of the problems from my office.

Just a second opinion,

Bob S.
