Remote control...

Now here's an odd question: is there such a device
that I can plug USB equiptment into it (keyboards,
mice, joypads, etc) that will transmit what I do with
those devices to a remote computer?

I currently have TV Out on my machine transmitted
to a TV in another room - which works perfectly,
for what it's worth - but it'd be neat if I could have
USB devices like keyboards and joypads acting as
remote controls.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

You mean like a cordless keyboard and mouse?

I was think of something to plug the likes of USB
keyboards, mice, joypads (et al) into that would
wirelessly transmit whatever I do with them to some
remote PC.

Something like a wireless USB hub, really.

Sounds like a job for Blue Tooth

Bluetooth sucks. It's still a while away from maturity.
Nah, what I really need is something along the lines of
a wireless USB hub.

Why mess with it?

That's not really wireless, and remote control is usually wireless.
Your devices are still wired to the USB hub.

Sounds like a lot of trouble. Whatever you do, post about how it goes
or doesn't go.
