I hope this makes sence. I have an old desktop machine
that I would like to integrate with my stereo system to
play mp3 files. What I do not want is a monitor and
keyboard in my living room. I am running a wireless home
network. Is there a way to launch these music files from
another computer?

Install WinVNC. It lets you operate the host PC from
a remote PC.
