Windows 2000 can use the Remote Desktop Client software (available for
download from Microsoft) to connect to an XP computer. But the reverse does
not work - Windows 2000 Professional does not have the ability to host a
remote connection.
Added software, like RealVNC from http://www.realvnc.com/ can be used to
connect between computers where Microsoft doesn't have the capability to do
so.
