Reminders is working oddly or not at all in Outlook 2007

I had a problem with an Outlook 1997/2002 format data file and discovered
that all 221 of my reminders were no longer coming up in the reminder
window. The original file was used with Outlook XP and then copied and
opened between two machines one running XP and Outllok XP the other running
Vista and Outlook 2007.

I decided to create a new .pst file and copy all of the folders across as
per Microsofts intructions on the knowledge base article. I did manage to
get 66 of the reminders to reappear after this import process completed. I
had attempted to run scanpst.exe which had idnetified a nunber of errors
before doing the import but this left the datafile unusable. I figured that
if their was an inherent corruption in the original datafile that importing
the data to a fresh file (new pst format) would solve the problem

When I try to correct a reminder it defaults to 16:00 today even after
16:00! For example on a contact reminder it shows the dates correctly and
then doesn't show the time. In the reminder window it would show the
reminder when it had been set i.e.3pm but state that it was "Due in" 2 hours
i.e. 5pm.

This is driving me nuts.

Is this a known bug with a known solution?

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

A little more detail that may be useful.

Size of the data file is 1.37Mb it was 1.28Mb before I created the new file.

When I start Outlook 2007 the reminders window opens then closes then opens
again - is the same for everyone else?

In Outlook 2003 I could create reminders that started in the past.

I don't seem to be able to do this in Outlook 2007

Thanks,

Nigel
