Reminder window up and can't remove it.

The last ten days I have been having a new window pop up that the following at the top. "Reminder--with the date following." The only way I can get rid of this extraneous window is by using ctrl-alt-delete. What can I do to get rid of this monster?
 
Hi,

Try running Adaware from www.lavasoft.de to see if it detects this as
spyware. If so, it should offer to remove it as well. Otherwise, start/run
msconfig and check the startup tab for any mention of a reminder utility.
Some software include these to prompt users to register software. Another
possibility is scheduled tasks, see if one matches the frequency of these
popups.
