reminder e-mails for calendar events? (Running Outlook 2003 connected to exchange server)

At work, I am running Outlook 2003 on my computer which connects to
the corperate e-mail server (microsoft exchange server). I would like
to write a script or find a way for the exchange server to send an
e-mail to my cell phone for calendar reminders. I know there are over
a dozen solutions to this problem if my laptop was always on. However
there are many times that my laptop is in standby throughout the day.
