Rememberin the user name and password

When I had mozilla installed, it would remember user name and passwords. I
went back to IE and now I don't have this ability. I do remember that there
is a setting for this, but I've spent the last two hours looking for it, to
no avail I might add. Does anyone know where this is and could let me know?
