If you ever participated in the DTPForum on Compuserve, you might be interested
in this announcement:

"After 16 years, Compuserve's well-known and respected DTP Forum has moved to a
new home:

http://desktoppublishingforum.com/

Discussion sections include: Layout & Design, All about Fonts,
Photos/Bitmaps/Scans, Drawing/Vector Art, Print/Prepress/PDF, Web Publishing,
Automating DTP, Business Issues, Computer Hardware, Other DTP Topics, etc.

Join us for lively discussions about the publishing arts--graphic design,
layout, fonts, typesetting, working with images, color, prepress--everything
you need to know to publish in print or on the web."

It's not about PowerPoint, but covers a lot of related stuff that PPT users
seem to be interested in. Same kind of folks as us. Cordial, polite, helpful
...

So are you pleased it's got a new home or what?

I'm not happy that Compuserve butchered all of their forums to the point that a
move was inevitable, but they did. And now that the move's been made, it's a
LOT better. I'm hoping that NNTP access can be added down the road too. The
people who take care of the place understand the value of that.
