Reloading email and messages

I have just reformated my laptop and on trying to recover
my saved email and messages from a CD I noticed the file
had become a office data file.pst does anyone know how to
change this to a Personel folder file.pst. I tried to
chane in file properties but it would not allow me to do
this.
If not does anyone know how to change this to an
acceptable file which Outlook can import

They're the same thing. You should not change the extension.
Why do you think you need to?
Move the file from the CD to your hard drive, remove its read only attribute
and open it in Outlook.
