Release date of .NET Framework v2.0

Do any of you have dates regarding the release date for .NET Framework
v2.0?
If there are any links or references on the release date can you
post those links.

Not sure, but it will be 2H 2005 according to the latest timeframes I have
seen. This could be as late as Dec 31, 2005. I would envision September or
October timeframe as there are plenty of IT events at that time of year in
which to showcase the new Framework, but they have stated they are looking at
metrics, not dates. When .NET hits a certain quality bar, it will be released.
