Relationships?

Keeping in mind that I am pretty new to using Access and have had no formal
training on how to use it, I recenlty created a table with all the forms and
reports I need to do what I need to do, but was recently informed that I
would have major issues down the road due to there being no relationships
within any of this. Can someone explain to me what the importance of
relationships is and if it really is going to cause problems down the road if
I do not have them? All my reports/forms work fine at this point.
