related to dropdown list

hai

i have created a dropdown list in a cell and locked it and protecte
the excel 2000 sheet, still iam able to allow the user to choosefrom
the dropdown list.

but iam unable to do the same in 2003 excel. when we try choose fro
the dropdown it is not allowing to do so.

is that possible to do so in excel 2003, if yes please help me
