I've had several problems with my new computer
automatically configuring drives and not being able to
find the operating system(I've got that fixed I think. My
system wasn't on my first drive). Now my Windows XP
allows me to load it on 10 computers. Now I know since my
old computer had it, that counted as a copy, but I was
wondering if I was to completely wipe windows from my
drive and reload it, if that would count against my 10
copies. Thanks.

I do not follow? Do you have a volume license that allows you to load 10
computer with Windows XP?

? Do you have a volume license? It sounds like you are a home
user who has Windows XP installed on a single computer. If so,
it's highly unlikely that you have such a license, since its cost
would be prohibitive if you only install it on one computer.

What makes you think your "Windows XP allows [you] to load it on
10 computers"? Are you perhaps getting confused by the statement
that Windows XP Professional permits 10 concurrent connections?

If that's the case, you're misunderstanding that statement. The
"ten concurrent connections" refers to network connections. You
can create a peer-to-peer network and have ten other computers
connect to yours. Your license for Windows XP permits you to
install it on a single computer.

Reinstallation on the same hardware doe not count. But this is either a
volume license or is (more likely) an MSDN one. MSDN licenses are to
install on up to ten machines for evaluation and development, and *not*
for use on a set of Production machines. At all.
