Reinstalling boot loader

How would I go about reinstalling the Win XP Boot loader. after uninstalling
Linux from a partition on my machine. Having wiped Linux off of a system
before, I know that deleting the Linux partition will also break the boot
loader. I want to save the XP install. can anyone help?

Here are a couple of methods:
- Boot into the Recovery Console, then run fixmbr and fixboot.
- Boot the machine with a Win98 boot disk, then run fdisk /mbr.
